Alpha

Alpha 2021

We are looking forward to launching Alpha in January with #inviteScotland.

While you wait till January, have a look at this video:

We will be aiming to meet over zoom on Monday nights, hope to see you then.

Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith. No pressure. No charge. If Christianity is new to you, or you have questions about your faith, or you just want to explore the meaning of life, then Alpha is for you!

Introductory Night

We all know that walking into a church building for the first time can be intimidating. So why not try our introductory evening on Monday 18th January @ 7.30pm online using Zoom. Hopefully we can break the ice with a short introduction film and a chat. You are not committing to the whole course by coming to the introduction. We will not be offended if you just come for a quick chat, honest!

What is it?

Each of the 10 weekly sessions begins at 7.30 pm with an informal chat over Zoom. We then watch a video for about half an hour, looking at different aspects of the Christian faith – including, for example: ‘Who is Jesus?’, ‘How can I have faith?” and ‘Why and how do we pray?’ Then there’s an opportunity for discussion in small groups follows, There’s no obligation to say anything and there’s nothing you can’t say. It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.

When does it take place?

Chat and introduction film Monday 18th January @ 7:30pm. If you can’t make the introduction, you can still come along for the first session the following week for 10 weeks.

If you are interested or want to find out more, please email Andrew and Julie Knox alpha@standrewsleckie.co.uk and you will be sent the zoom meeting details.

If you are 18-24 you can also contact Sarah at sarah@standrewsleckie.co.uk about our young adults group.
