Alpha returns in August 2020
this time it’s online!
Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith. No pressure. No charge. If Christianity is new to you, or you have questions about your faith, or you just want to explore the meaning of life, then Alpha is for you!
We all know that walking into a church building for the first time can be intimidating. So why not try our introductory evening on Thursday 27th August @ 7.00pm online using Zoom. Hopefully we can break the ice with a short introduction film. You are not committing to the whole course by coming to the introduction. We will not be offended if you just come for a quick chat, honest!
What is it?
Each of the 10 weekly sessions begins at 7.00 pm with an informal chat over Zoom. We then watch a video for about half an hour, looking at different aspects of the Christian faith – including, for example: ‘Who is Jesus?’, ‘How can I have faith?” and ‘Why and how do we pray?’ Then there’s an opportunity for discussion in small groups follows, There’s no obligation to say anything and there’s nothing you can’t say. It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.
When does it take place?
Chat and introduction film 27th August @ 7pm. If you can’t make the introduction, you can still come along for the first session on the 3rd Spetember.
Come along to the 10-week evening Alpha course (7.00 pm to 9pm approx) online, which runs from 3rd September, 2020.
If you are interested or want to find out more, please email Andrew and Julie Knox firstname.lastname@example.org and you will be sent the zoom meeting details.
