Alpha returns in September 2019
Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith. No pressure. No charge.
If Christianity is new to you, or you have questions about your faith, or you just want to explore the meaning of life, then Alpha is for you!
We all know that walking into a church building for the first time can be intimidating. So our introductory evening is held at Costa Coffee (opposite the church) on Thursday 12th September @ 7.00 pm. Hopefully we can break the ice with a short introduction film. You are not committing to the whole course by coming to the introduction. We will not be offended if you just come for the free coffee, honest!
What is it?
Each of the 10 weekly sessions begins at 7.00 pm with a meal – a chance to get to know others on the course. We then watch a video for about half an hour, looking at different aspects of the Christian faith – including, for example: ‘Who is Jesus?’, ‘How can I have faith?” and ‘Why and how do we pray?’ Then there’s an opportunity for discussion in small groups follows, There’s no obligation to say anything and there’s nothing you can’t say. It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.
When does it take place?
Drink at Costa Coffee and introduction film 12th September @ 7pm. If you can’t make the introduction, you can still come along for the first session on the 19th.
Come along to the 10-week evening Alpha course (7.00 pm to 9pm approx) in the church hall, which runs from 19th September, 2019.
