It is a Tasmanian wolf.

It looks like a dog or a wolf but it kept its young in a pouch like the kangaroo.

The last Tasmanian wolf that anyone has seen, died in a zoo in 1938. It is probably extinct but we cannot be sure. Maybe there are some still hidden away somewhere in the Island of Tasmania. If one is found, I am sure you will hear about it and perhaps see it on the television.
